More Adventures from the Fair!

Mom got me an amazing treat. You probably haven't heard of it, b'cause I think you can only get it when there's a butter cow around, but it comes with a crunchy handle you can eat. Dad called it iced cream. It's pretty good.

Gosh, little did I know, there was so much more to see. So, we got underway and walked down the street. People were everywhere! And, there were special people who got their own little cars to drive. Dad said that these little cars, known as "golf carts" are usually driven by Democrats nowadays. But, for more than 20 years, Republicans got to drive these. Not sure what that means or why it has significance. But, it doesn't matter what political party these arrogant people belong to, they're in the way of paying customers.

If you're big enough, and evidently lazy enough, you can have your Mom and Dad pay good money to ride on a bench hooked to string that glides in the sky over everybody else. Lots of creepy little kids with parents who neglect them ride on this contraption. Often, I noticed, they spit on the passers-by below. Dad says their parents are part of that "born-again, anti-gay-people crowd." Either way, the thing looks dangerous for a little kid like me. And, I've got Dad's shoulders anyway.

As we walked, I heard the sound of little piggies! Nope, it wasn't that someone wanted pizza on a stick. Instead, it was the FFA petting zoo! Dad was a member of FFA - Star Greenhand and 2nd in state for Parliamentary Procedure as a matter of fact (totally true fact). So, off we went to see those piggies, and duckies, and chickens, and bunnies and goats. I figured out that besides my love for milk, I have a little more in common with cows as well!

Then, off to pay my respects to the Democrat tent. I'm pretty much committed to the Democrats at this point. But, I gotta tell you, whatta dysfunctional mishmash of leaders they seem to have in Illinois right now. I mean, I watched those chickens and duckies get along in a cage and cooperate better than the group that works in my hometown. Dad's really been depressed about the Democrats lately. But, I think he still believes in what the Democrats are supposed to believe in...like helping people and little kids who aren't as lucky as me.

Before Mom snapped this picture, Dad told me, "To be nice, Goo, I'll take the girl part."
