My Most Wonderful Birthday!

Wow! It wasn't until I woke up on July 8th that I realized that something spectacular happened on July 7th. It was a wonderful day that day. I had all kinds of family and friends come over. Dad worked his butt off trying to make the backyard look remotely presentable. And, I got a ton of presents and toys and the tastiest dinner cake that you can imagine. For it was my birthday, you see.
My birthday is shared with my Great Grandma Trimmer! Dad said that's why my middle name is Eloise. Here we are, just as happy as cake-eating clams! I arm wrestled her and won. Dad said it's because she let me win, but I think it's because she's still recovering from the two wrists she broke a couple of months back. Either way, it's good to win at arm wrestling. But, I think I'd like to try to perfect my soccer skills before I get real competitive.

Golly, you couldn't imagine the booty I scored. Jus' like ole' Blackbeard himself, I got lots of presents from lots of people. And, you know what that means......tons of boxes to play on, and in, and around. Colorful boxes from China are awesome!


And Mom. She baked the most wonderful breads for me. One of them came with a wax firestick on it. It musta been pretty special 'cause I got to eat it myself. The outer shell was made of a candy paste. Dad called it frosting. No matter what it's called, it's the tastiest candy paste on a moist sweet bread in the whole world!

The other people ate an even bigger candy paste bread slab. It looked good. And, for breakfast last week, it was pretty good to eat too.

Overall, my birthday was a blast. I'm thinking about having one next month and you'll probably be invited. Just remember to bring some boxes.
