The Movin' Picture Box

Mom and Dad are real uncool about the moving picture box in the living room. They don't let me watch it. Well, okay... I do get to watch it quite a bit. But, only because mom says she's just "letting me relax for a minute after I eat."

Anyway, Dad tells mom that if this continues I will get some sort of a complex. He doesn't want to "condition" me into thinking that when I'm done eating (a lot) I get a further reward of watching moving pictures.

Then, on Sunday as Dad was reading the paper, he plopped me down in front of the magical device and proceeded to mumble something about those "right wing kooks" who always write those letters about everybody's soul being burnt up because of the Democrats.

Anyway, I watched Sesame Street and it was Zoe's birthday. So, they had some treats for her. And then, Dad looked up and said, "what the....what is that!?"

I can see where he gets concerned about associating food with movin' pictures now...

Dad also says that this is kind of adult humor. And, it really struck him as something really funny. But, he doesn't care if you think it's funny. If you don't get it, you're kinda slow...he said that, not me. It's okay to be slow by the way, because in America ANYBODY can be President (I say that, Dad does too).
